MEET THE DESIGNER

Abigail Lang is a designer and director at Larkwood Furniture, and daughter of the company’s founder, Donald Lang. Drawing on the legacy of craftsmanship instilled by her father, Abby has spearheaded the creation of the Carmellia and Marguerite storage collections. Pieces that balance functionality with artistic form. The Carmellia line, with its soft curves, rounded corners, and elegant brass accents, is a more modern evolution of Marguerite’s clean Scandinavian-Spanish aesthetic.

Her design philosophy honors Larkwood’s tradition of handcrafted, high-quality furniture while bringing in fresh creativity and refinement. In doing so, Abby helps carry forward the heritage Don began in 1988, yet nudges the brand toward new stylistic expressions rooted in storage solutions.

The Verona Collection captures the spirit of European design — bold, sophisticated, and effortlessly timeless. Each piece, from the TV console to the tallboy, is crafted from solid brunette mindi wood and finished with striking brass accents that add warmth and depth.

Drawing inspiration from both European refinement and brutalist geometry, the collection balances clean architectural lines with rich natural texture. Brass knobs and detailing lend a subtle glow against the deep timber tones, creating statement pieces that command attention without overwhelming the space.

Whether it’s the bedside, chest of drawers, or storage console, every design in the Verona Collection is built to anchor a room with presence and personality. More than furniture, these are sculptural forms that bring character, balance, and enduring style to the modern home.
